Thank you so much for stopping by our web site today. My name is John Roberson and I am the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Clinton, Illinois. My wife, Sherri, and I have been married for 23 years and God has blessed our home with three wonderful children, Jessica, Jonathan, and Jacob. We were happy to have the addition of a son-in-law, Luke Anglea, when he married Jessica on July 30, 2011. Our oldest son, Jonathan, is a sophomore at Providence Baptist College, and Jacob is at home in first grade. We give God the glory for the privilege of being parents.

My wife and I were born and raised in north Mississippi, but have lived in Clinton for more than 8 years. I came to First Baptist Church in May of 2002 and God has allowed us to see some pretty extraordinary things. We are privileged to be part of such a great work with such a rich history. First Baptist Church will soon celebrate her 173rd anniversary. It is amazing what God is doing here in Clinton. I believe this to be the greatest church in the world – however, I admit that I am a little biased. What an amazing life God has given us.
